“Sainihåns” – this is how the market community of St. Johann in Tirol is pronounced in the rustic local dialect. Here, hospitality is lived with all one’s heart, and guests are introduced to Tyrolean culture and culinary delights in every corner of the region.
The charming holiday destination is nestled between the mighty Kaiser Mountains and the Kitzbüheler Horn. The vibrant town typical of the region in the Kitzbühel Alps attracts with tradition, festivals, beautiful shops, boutiques, and restaurants. A warm market community that provides charming variety during your vacation.
In the midst of greenery, at the foot of the Kitzbüheler Horn, we have found the perfect holiday chalet for you. Typically Tyrolean, covered with wooden shingles, the house is located on a spacious organic farm with a large main house and an adjoining barn. The main house is also available to Almliesl guests for a wonderful group vacation in the countryside. Many horses, ponies, and farm animals frolic in the lush fields surrounding the lovingly maintained ancestral farm. Starting from your chalet, you can embark on the most beautiful hiking and mountain biking tours in the region with a unique view of the Wild Kaiser.

On the slopes in the skiing paradise Kitzbühel Alps
In just 500 m distance is the Rüppenhang slope from your holiday home. For the other kilometers of slopes, the best option is to take the ski bus that departs right in front of the door. You can also head down quickly with a sled on the toboggan run behind the farm. Cross-country skiers and ski tour fans will also find plenty to enjoy on the extensive trails and touring network.
Your summer at Tyrolean power spots
Start your hiking and mountain biking tours directly from the farm into the Tyrolean mountain world. From the local mountain, the Kitzbüheler Horn, there are numerous hiking routes. Particularly exciting are the highly sensitive moor areas of the Kaiser Mountains in Going at the Wild Kaiser. They are witnesses of time and habitats for rare animal and plant species. Set out and explore the renatured moorland “Moore & More”. You will be gently guided along educational paths through the flora and fauna in an entertaining way.
Tip: Head to the Hornpark climbing forest for big and small. An adventure park with different difficulty levels that is “a huge fun” for EVERYONE. The ultimate challenge is the Flying Fox. So, who dares?
