A visit to the Friesland porcelain factory in Varel-Rahlingen or "Bahlsen" factory outlet at Varel harbour. You can also enjoy maritime delicacies there at the harbour. Excursions to Bremerhaven to the Klimahaus or German Emigration Museum are highly recommended. Or discover the well-developed network of cycle paths in southern Friesland.
Dangast is popular year-round for its mild and temperate climate. Its location on a wooded geest ridge is unique, those paths lead to the well-known old casino. A large fan base enjoy the almost legendary warm rhubarb cake time and again...view of Jade Bay included.
Captain Anton Tapken spins sailor's yarn on his ship "Etta von Dangast" during the trip to the seal banks, to Wilhelmshaven or the Arngast lighthouse.
